You Get Better At Doing Anything IF You Do It A Lot

Practice Drawing This Draw-along.

Initial Letter I worked at a factory once as a temp, and the regulars were twice as fast as I was at tasks.

You get better at things you keep doing as your brain rewires to do the same thing more efficiently next time.

You should not listen to anyone who tells you how to practice, including me. You decide what you want to get better at, and you do *that* more often and get better at it.

I like drawing in line and have done it for years, and when I look through my sketchbooks, I can see how I have improved.

One cool trick is to note what you spent time on in a calendar for a week, broken into half or quarter-hour blocks. You may be surprised to discover what you “lose” time on, the things you do often (and become better at), while you want to do something else.

Yours sincerely,
