If You Want To Do Something, Just Start, And Figure Out Along The Way How To Do It

Practice Drawing This Draw-along.

Initial Letter Several years ago, I met someone on a forum who wanted to start a blog written with a physical typewriter. She wanted to start in a few months, but she never did.

I threw away my first hundred or so newsletter articles (after they were sent). I sometimes saw people unsubscribe. I studied the articles to figure out why.

It’s more steady now. I send out short articles with one idea to contemplate, which I think works. I know that form studies would be more popular, but memory drawing is a more valuable exercise, so I focus on that.

If you plan to go on some journey, start. Create, look back at it later, and see how it went and how you feel about it. Figure out what you want to change. You find out what works for you by doing.

It’s not the end of the world if you initially get things wrong. You become better as you work out how to approach things. But you won’t if you don’t start.

As they say, jump and build your parachute on the way down.

Yours sincerely,
