Drawing Heads Without Jaws Is Easier

Potato heads are another trick. It's similar to the Bearded Old Men drawing exercise in that the jaw of the head is hidden a bit, this time not behind a beard, but behind the fatty tissue of the underchin.

The jaw is something you have to draw relatively accurately because it is part of a 3D form, the skull. It thus helps if you can cover it up with something that looks a bit like a cloud.
