You Can Use Your Previous Drawing As A Reference Image To Make It Better And Notice How Your Skills Grew Over Time

Initial Letter After you finish a sketch from reference, you see all the mistakes in it. Try to draw it again but with your sketch as a reference.

I discovered this exercise while browsing through my sketchbooks. I saw drawings I could improve and redrew them on the next page, using the original drawing for reference.

You now have better design skills, hand dexterity, and knowledge of how things should look. The goal is not to make a perfect copy of the original reference but to make a nice-looking image. You are allowed to invent.

You may also see things wrong with drawings by others. Draw your version using the original for reference. “Fix” the original, and make your version.

Yours sincerely,
